Privacy Policy – NSD Rclone Backup

PT Nirmala Satya Development (“NSD”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) operates NSD Rclone Backup, an internal backup application used to securely store backup data from NSD infrastructure in an authorized Google Drive account.
This Privacy Policy explains how NSD Rclone Backup accesses, uses, stores, protects, and deletes data obtained through Google APIs.
Google Drive Access
NSD Rclone Backup uses Google OAuth 2.0 and requests the Google Drive drive.file permission.
This permission allows the application to view and manage Google Drive files and folders that are created or opened by NSD Rclone Backup.
The application does not request unrestricted access to all files stored in the user's Google Drive.
Data We Access
NSD Rclone Backup may access:
- Backup files and folders created by NSD Rclone Backup in Google Drive.
- File names and basic metadata required to identify and verify backup files.
- File contents when required to upload, verify, restore, update, or delete backups.
- OAuth authorization tokens required to authenticate the application with Google Drive.
The backup files themselves may contain NSD business data, application data, system configuration, uploaded files, and database backup archives.
How We Use Google User Data
Google Drive access is used solely to provide backup and disaster recovery functions, including:
- Uploading server backups to Google Drive.
- Verifying that backup files have been successfully stored.
- Listing backup files created by the application.
- Restoring backup files when required.
- Updating or replacing existing backup files.
- Removing expired backup files according to NSD's backup retention policy.
Google user data is not used for advertising, marketing profiling, credit evaluation, data brokerage, or other unrelated purposes.
Google user data is not used to develop, improve, or train generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
Data Sharing and Disclosure
NSD does not sell Google user data.
Google user data accessed through NSD Rclone Backup is not transferred or disclosed to third parties except where required:
- To provide the requested backup and recovery service;
- To authorized NSD personnel responsible for system administration and disaster recovery;
- When required by applicable law, regulation, or lawful government request.
Backup files are stored in the Google Drive account authorized by the account owner.
Data Security
NSD applies technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect backup data and Google OAuth credentials.
OAuth credentials and refresh tokens used by NSD Rclone Backup are stored on controlled NSD server infrastructure with restricted filesystem and administrative access.
Communication between NSD Rclone Backup and Google APIs is transmitted using encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections.
Access to NSD backup infrastructure is restricted to authorized administrators.
Data Retention
Backup data is retained only for as long as necessary to support NSD backup, disaster recovery, business continuity, and applicable legal or regulatory requirements.
Backup files that exceed the configured retention period may be automatically or manually deleted from Google Drive.
Retention periods may vary according to the type of backup and operational requirements.
Data Deletion and Revocation
Users may revoke NSD Rclone Backup's access to their Google Account at any time through their Google Account security settings.
Revoking OAuth authorization prevents NSD Rclone Backup from making further authorized Google Drive API requests.
Revoking application access does not automatically remove backup files that have already been stored in Google Drive.
Users may delete the NSD-BACKUP folder directly from their Google Drive or request deletion of backup data by contacting NSD before revoking access.

NSD Rclone Backup's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including applicable Limited Use requirements.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our backup architecture, Google API usage, legal requirements, or data handling practices change.
The latest version will always be published on this page together with the date of the most recent update.
